How to use the Pixel Repair Tool

- Resize the window so it covers only the stuck pixel and a few pixels around it.
- Leave the tool running for at least 15-30 minutes uninterrupted.
- Stop the tool and re-run the Screen Test to check whether the pixel is revived.
- If the pixel is still stuck, run the tool again for a longer session (2-8 hours).
How to interpret your results
A successful repair means the previously stuck pixel now transitions correctly through all colors during a Screen Test — it should disappear on the color that used to reveal it. If the pixel is still visible after several long sessions, it is likely a true dead pixel and no software fix will work. Dead pixels can only be replaced by swapping the panel itself.
Common issues and what they mean
Repair not working after hours
True dead pixels (fully black on every color) cannot be revived. The tool only works on stuck subpixels showing a persistent red/green/blue dot.
Screen flickers uncomfortably
This is expected — rapid color flashing is what forces the transistor to reset. If you're sensitive to flicker, look away from the screen or cover the rest of the panel while the tool runs.
Pixel came back after a few days
Occasionally repaired pixels get stuck again. Simply run the tool a second time — repeated repairs usually last longer.
Tool won't enter full flashing mode
Disable browser extensions that throttle background tabs or reduce animation. Chrome's "Efficiency Mode" and Edge's "Sleeping Tabs" can slow the flash rate.

Does pixel repair really work?
For stuck pixels, sometimes — recently stuck pixels recover more often than long-stuck ones, and truly dead pixels don't recover. There is no guaranteed success rate.

Start with 30 minutes. If the pixel remains, run for 2 hours. Stubborn pixels may need 4-8 hours or overnight.
Is it safe to leave the tool running overnight?
Yes. The tool uses minimal CPU and does not stress the display. Just disable sleep mode in your OS power settings so the screen stays on.
Will this fix backlight bleed?
No. Backlight bleed is a panel-level issue caused by uneven pressure or manufacturing tolerance, not a subpixel problem. Only physical adjustment or replacement fixes bleed.
